- Questions and Answers
- Some common
questions about the Study Starters system...
What grade levels would these
forms work with?
Ideally, the Study Starters system
is geared towards middle school children, into early high school.
The system does include a Kid Sheet to accompany older children,
so that younger siblings can learn along with the older children.
Will there be additional books
in the system?
At the moment, there are no plans
to add any additional books to the Study Starters system. We
have developed Study Starters to be a stand alone system, complete
and ready to use for just about any unit study you could imagine.
You can use Study Starters for hundreds of different topics.
What if I don't want to create
unit studies, does this work with exisiting unit studies?
If you don't want to actually
create unit studies for your children, you can certainly use
a large percentage of the system to help you with commercially
available unit studies. Forms such as the Resource Form will
give you a shopping list for to check off needed books, videos
and other materials you need for your study. All of the Study
Starter Report forms work well all sorts of study, not just unit
studies.
You might want to use, perhaps,
the State Report Form to create a day study of Idaho or Ohio,
or use any of the Report Forms to suppliment your day to day
studies.
Is it hard to use the Study
Starters system?
Not at all, the sytem was designed
to be very easy and comfortable to fit into your homeschooling
plans. One of the nice things about Study Starters is that if
helps to keep your studies consistant. By using the planning
forms for each and every study, you establish a routine that
